Lapeer, MI, June 15, 2015 – Energy Steel has implemented a Quick Response Office Cell “QROC” group that has been tasked with quoting, procuring, and shipping non-fab commercial, safety related, and ASME Section III components. The QROC group utilizes quick response manufacturing principles to improve lead times and increase transparency to our customers. The Energy Steel QROC team has already set industry benchmarks in three major areas. In May 2015 average days to quote averaged 2.82 days, average days to order material has have fallen to 6.49 days, and average days to ship final components was reduced to a remarkable 21 days. The Energy Steel QROC team is beating industry lead times and setting the pace for nuclear procurement one order at a time.
